Language assistant Assisting the main classroom teacher during lessons/ lesson preparation/ guided marking, running extra curricular clubs (e.g. Translation Bee UK), running revision sessions for KS3 and KS4 students (11-16 year olds), taking out small groups of students out of lesson for games/speaking practice etc., taking on the teaching of small groups, support students who require extra support, cover lessons where appropriate (for example small KS4 classes or A-level classes) and offer one-to-one speaking sessions for our A-level students. You will also be expected to help out with planning and producing resources and helping with admin tasks.. |
Duration | 3-12 months depending. Our ideal starting dates are every September, December and April, however, other starting dates are also possible. |

General information about the organisation | We are a big and modern Secondary School in Naislea, Bristol with just under 1000 students. Nailsea School is a happy and vibrant learning community with students aged from 11-18. We are very proud of our school and the way every member of staff genuinely cares for the well-being and development of all of our young people. In our department for Modern Foreign Languages, in which we are offering French, German and Spanish lessons for our students, we are always looking for motivated and enthusiastic language assistants, who would like to join our team.
